This series is reminiscent of 'wagashi', a traditional Japanese confectionery. Minerals from around the world were arranged on Urushi (lacquer) plates, a traditional Japanese craft. It is as if you can feel the exotic culture on your dining table, or the Zen philosophy of Karesansui (dry landscape garden). Her desire to express the beauty of nature while eliminating as much waste as possible was expressed in each dish.
