AWAI NO TATAZUMAI

あわいのたたずまい

「極めて原始的な存在」を強調する彼女の芸術的実践は、単なる自らの手による創作行為にとどまらず、彼女の人生そのものの表現であると言っても過言ではない。その活動の幅は極めて広範であり、それらに共通点を見出すのは困難に思えるかもしれない。しかし、そのすべてに根底にあるのは、「固定観念から脱却したい」という願望である。それらは規範や常識に縛られることなく、むしろそうした概念を覆そうとする試みである。この点において、確かに一貫した直線的な流れがある。身体と思考を駆使して繰り広げられる彼女の大胆な挑戦は、時に重力さえも覆し、まるで彼女が宙に浮いているかのような感覚を私たちに与える。

It is no exaggeration to say that her artistic practice, which emphasizes "extremely primitive existence," is not only a creative act of her own hands, but also an expression of her way of life itself. The variety of her activities is so great that it may seem difficult to find a common denominator among them. However, at the root of all of them is the desire to "break free from stereotypes. They are not bound by the norm or common sense, but rather attempt to overturn these concepts. In this respect, there is indeed a straight line. Her bold challenge, which she carries on by mobilizing her body and her thoughts, sometimes overturns even gravity, making us feel as if she is floating.
